Brad and Maria Fester

Brad and Maria Fester are missionaries serving in Central African Republic as Wycliffe Bible Translators .

They have given the church a wall hanging that was created and sewn by an African woman.
The cloth used in the wall hanging is from Cameroon.

This special piece of artwork is hanging on the hallway wall near the church offices for everyone to enjoy.

Much work has been done and much more remains ahead. We at Nameoki have a part in carrying out the Great Commission as we support the ministry of Brad and Maria. Current emphasis is on the translation of the Gospel of Luke and to dub the audio for the Campus Crusades 'Jesus film in Mpyemo language.

Any language project entails more than just translating the Bible. Translators also have to show people how to use the Bible in their daily lives. And in some cases (like theirs), they have to teach people to read.

Brad says "We are constantly reminded of our weakness and of our need to rely on God's strength to make it all happen. Through your prayers, gifts and encouragement, you also have been part of helping this project. We want to thank you from ourselves, and on behalf of the Mpyemo people. Our hope is that just as we learn and grow from reading God's Word in English, the Mpyemo and other peoples of CAR will be able to do the same in their language and that God will use it to transform lives and communities."

Mission Report

Mission giving in our community and beyond our local church is important to us. We are a medium sized church with an average attendance of 180 in our combined worship services. We provide financial help to local organizations throughout the year such as:

The Community Care Center

...and many other organizations within the Methodist Conference and beyond.

The KIDS IN MISSION collected loose change in April to go to Brad and Maria Festers Bible Translation Ministry through Wycliffe Bible Translators to the Mpyemo people in Bilolo, Central Africa Republic.

The KIDS IN MISSION collection for July will go to Mitchell Grade School . This will allow the Nurse and Social Worker to buy under garments and other necessary items for kids in need. We are assigned this school and are the only church meeting their needs.

The KIDS IN MISSION collection for September will go to Bibles for Prisonsers.   The focus this month for the loose change offering is purchasing Bibles and literatire for those confined in the penitentiaries.  Please keep the chaplains and ministry teams in your pryaers, as their challenge is great.  They enter all levels of confinement facilities to help men and women to know Jesus and lead them to salvation.  What a mission they are called to do!
